Course Description:

When used properly by trained workers, these machines provide safer and more efficient access than traditional methods in many construction operations.

Mobile Elevating Work Platforms course covers:

  • Portable (non-self propelled) elevating work platforms (CSA B354.1)
  • Self propelled elevating work platforms (CSA B354.2)
  • Boom supported elevating work platforms (CSA B354.4)

Participants must receive Working at Heights training before taking part in this course. (O. Reg. 213/91, section 26)

  • Basic hazards
  • Regulations and responsibilities
  • Stability and tipping
  • Inspection and safe practices

Who Should Attend:

A worker who operates an elevating work platform shall, before using it for the first time, be given oral and written instruction on the operation and be trained to operate that class of elevating work platform.
